The may bank holiday provided some great fishing. Mackeral which have been scarce since easter are now in the bay in numbers. Having caught a full box (50kg) in just over an hour we had to move to other places in an attempt to get away from them and catch some other species. Small Pollack were also plentiful and there was a number of Coalfish as well.
The next full days fishing is sat 6 june. This is a fishing competition in aid of Sligo Bay Lifeboat. (some places abroad are still available).
